The VueScan Bible is a good reference for understanding the scanning process, how to set up the software to do scanning, details about the various features, and answering questions on why or why not a user might want to select certain options. I ordered the Kindle version, and had VueScan active while I read through the book. The VueScan Bible: Everything You Need to Know for Perfect Scanning by Steinhoff, Sascha. A copy that has been read but remains intact. May contain markings such as bookplates, stamps, limited notes and highlighting, or a few light stains. Later I saw there was a workaround using the Nikon driver. I liked VueScan too much to change. If modified driver does not work then VueScan should. VueScan works great with my Nikon Cool Scan 4000 & Epson V750 Pro on Win 10 Pro. If you use VueScan I highly recommend 'The VueScan Bible' by Steinhoff.

Sascha Steinhoff is a computer expert by training and a photographer by passion. He used several rainy seasons in Galway, Ireland to learn everything he needed to know about scanners and scanning software. He soon realized that a good scan requires as much work and know-how as a good camera shot, and that a scanning workflow is essential to get the job done efficiently. Sascha recently gave up his position as an editor of a leading German technical magazine to move to Bangkok, Thailand, where he is currently working as a freelance journalist and project manager.
